The Borough Council’s primary responsibility is to provide policy direction for the various departments and functions of the Boro.  Council is directly responsible for the appointment of key administrative personnel, voting on ordinances and regulations, adopting the annual budget and approving all expenses. Council also appoints members to serve on the various Boro boards and commissions to advise and assist Council.
 

Regular business meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 4:30 pm.  During the business meetings, Council may act to adopt new legislation, approve the expenses for the previous month or to make other administrative changes or improvements.  Minutes are taken at all meetings to record the formal actions taken by Council and to summarize comments and discussion.  All members of the public in attendance will have the opportunity to comment during the public comment period of each meeting.
